Seriously, if the perpetrators were 3 years older, we’d be talking about rape charges and a lifetime on a sex offender registry at stake.

Instead, because they’re nice Carmel kids, what’s at stake is, well, not a hell of a lot.

Politico is reporting that a) Indiana congressman Mark Souder (R) is admitting an affair with a female staffer (which is a nice change of pace from most Republican sex scandals) and is b) resigning from his post.

The news may open things up a bit for Democratic challenger Dr. Tom Hayhurst.

That said, the times when a major event is downtown (like during the recent Final Four), the Circle is choked with car traffic. I’m a little curious to see where all that traffic gets routed.

According to a source within the company, Formspring.me has now been spun off into its own company, possibly gained venture funding and is in the process of moving from Formspring.com’s North Indy headquarters to San Francisco.

Indianapolis company Formspring.com, a manager of online forms founded by former Indianapolis Star developer Ade Olonoh, has had a large hit on their hands with Formspring.me a site that allows users to anonymously ask questions of one another. The site has been featured in TechCrunch, Gawker, ReadWriteWeb and other sites and has been increasing user counts and visits at an impressive clip.

Additional evidence of the move is reflected in the new company’s job listings for San Francisco.

It is believed that Formspring.com employees and personnel will remain at the current offices in the Castleton area.

We currently have a question out to Olonoh (using Formspring.me appropriately enough), but it is not known at this time if there was indeed a funding round, which firm might be the source of said funding or if the move to California was a condition of said funding.

The funding would make sense, however. What started as a short-term project has exploded in usage and has strained server resources as the service has grown. This funding should help the new spin-off continue to grow - both in direct infrastructure and support personnel.

Formspring.me was also the subject of a widespread hoax recently that suggested it would reveal the identities of their anonymous users. The company was forced to deny the rumor.

Headline’s a little misleading. A group of Ohio investors have filed for an involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy for fair Finance, but has not been granted yet.
